To go with the rest of my Nightmare Before Christmas themed yard for actual Christmas this year, I decided along with my Santa Jack and Wreath I'd make some of the Spider Snowflakes that Jack made; while trying to discover the secret of Christmas. Now when I say I made a few I've made 8 so far... not sure if I'll make more or need to yet but we'll see what I end up doing with them, figure so far I might just hang them off the house or something. Now I started out by drawing this out on paper, but I'm not sure why but I seem to really like craft foam because this is yet again what I used. Figure its more durable than paper and will last longer and not fold up while outside and such, then I just covered the surface with glue and went to town with the glitter XD ...which by the way if none of you know so far glitter is definitely the herpes of the craft world since its everywhere and you can never get rid of it lol.

Thanks XD ...Well in the Movie he just did your typical fold a peice of paper and cut it up and it looks like a snowflake... but the irony of course was he is The King of Halloween so it still ended up being something scary... sadly making this wasn't quite so easy lol, but I love how they turned out too! X)

You should upload a tutorial/instructions for this, it's awesome :)

haha its so simple it doesn't even need a tutorial I think... but its simply craft-foam white cut with an exacto blade in the shape I want. I then cover it in glue and used two different white/clear glitters one small and one in chunks to give it an icy look. I later sealed it with a clear coat spray so they were weather proof. As simple as that XD hardest part is just drawing the design I guess... just used a stencil out of paper then used one of the foam ones I made after that as the stencil which you have to remember every time you do this you might end up with fatter negative space.

well I saw that it was easy to make it into a square and being that I'm a perfectionist I used a ruler though most of it lol... but yeah you just have to make sure when you mark your 8 points that the top/bottom & sides are all the same and the 4 corners aren't as long to give you more of a snowflake/star shape instead of that square.
